Susan M. Jamieson is the founder and principal of the Bridget Beari brand, which encompasses Bridget Beari Designs, Bridget Beari Colors paints, Bridget Beari Papers wallpaper, and the Bridget Beari Home Store. She is also the author of Bridget Beari Color Rules: A Guide to Choosing and Using Color at Home, winner of the 2026 International Book Awards in Home & Garden and the 2026 National Indie Excellence Awards for Interior Design Non-Fiction.

For more than three decades, Susan has created luxury homes and commercial spaces that are both comfortably elegant and deeply personal. Guided by the belief that each interior should reflect and enhance the unique personalities, lifestyles, and needs of those who live and work there, she collaborates closely with each client to create spaces that are as livable as they are inspiring. Unbound by trends or predetermined concepts, Susan defines each new space through character, color, shape, and texture. Her portfolio spans historic Southern renovations, coastal retreats, contemporary urban dwellings, and diverse commercial spaces, all distinguished by timeless design and thoughtful detail.

Her work and expertise have been featured in Coastal Living, House Beautiful, LUXE Interiors + Design, Southern Living, and Traditional Home, among many others. Susan has also appeared on HGTV, TLC, and NBC. The Bridget Beari Home Store was recognized by Architectural Digest as one of its “Home Decor Stores to Shop Now and Always.”

Named after Susan's beloved rescue dogs Bridget and Beari, the brand reflects both her passion for exceptional design and her commitment to giving back, with a portion of proceeds supporting animal rescue organizations. 

A dedicated philanthropist and recipient of Richmond's "Woman of the Year for the Arts," Susan continues to inspire audiences nationwide through her design work, speaking engagements, and educational presentations.
