DC DESIGN HOUSE
Washington, DC

The DC Design House invited Bridget Beari Designs to reimagine the dark and dated master suite in its 6th Annual charity showhouse to raise funds for the Children's National Medical Center. Bridget Beari Designs founder and principal Susan Jamieson created a glowing and glamorous retreat layered in sumptuous materials, fine furnishings and exquisite details at every turn. To brighten the dark room, Jamieson incorporated metallic and reflective surfaces throughout in a palette of blues, grays, creams and golds. Painting the main ceiling high gloss above the bed in Bridget Beari Colors “Biscuit” casts a shimmering glow. The reading nook ceiling is covered in metallic wallpaper and the custom geometric bookcases designed by Jamieson are painted Bridget Beari Colors metallic “Bastille Brass” and backed in “Rambo blue”. A brass canopy bed upholstered in a wildly luxurious gold and cream zebra print is flanked by custom wall treatments designed by Jamieson featuring mirrors in the same geometric shape as the bookcases. The room even includes a wet bar (stocked with Champagne, of course!) and a walk-in closet fit for a queen.
