ATLANTA HOMES & LIFESTYLES SOUTHEASTERN DESIGNER SHOWHOUSE
Atlanta, Georgia

Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles magazine invited Bridget Beari Designs to design the boy’s bedroom and en suite in the historic Buckhead home originally designed by renowned classical architect, James Means. Bridget Beari Designs founder and principal Susan Jamieson created a fun and fresh haven embodying the boy’s hobbies and love of dogs while incorporating timeless furnishings that would remain sturdy and stylish as he grew up.

A mix of antique, mid-century modern, contemporary and rustic furnishings imbue unique personality. Jamieson designed a custom headboard, which was handmade from slabs of reclaimed wood in a bold, geometric pattern painted in calm yet cheerful colors from her Bridget Beari Colors paint collection. A traditional high-back chair upholstered in buttery-soft yellow leather is a comfy spot for reading and beautifully contrasts the curvy wishbone chair. A dreamy hand-knit throw, plump and whimsical Pierre Frey pillow and plush vintage Moroccan rug temper the room’s masculine elements, adding just the right amount of cozy softness.

Jamieson mounted feathers and arrows on the bedroom walls and carried the theme into the bathroom with her custom Jasper Johns inspired bullseye artwork in Bridget Beari Colors paints. Dog trophies, collars and photography capture the boy’s canine ardor, which of course we share as a portion of all Bridget Beari Colors and Papers is donated to animal rescue organizations.
